Safety & Class Specific Rules

9-13 JUNIOR, 900 and 1000/TURBO PRODUCTION and PRO BOUNTY General Safety Rules

  

Please refer to your specific class for additional safety rules


All participants must wear a Snell or DOT approved helmet


All participants must wear a neck ring i.e. neck brace


No passengers allowed unless a allowed during a specific event


All participants must wear a seat belt (4 point harness is highly recommended)


A minimum of one and one half inch diameter roll cage covering the driver’s compartment is mandatory. Factory/OEM cages are excluded from this rule.


Drivers helmet must be a minimum of a fist width from any part of the roll cage. If not a interior safety net will be required.


All vehicles must have a fire extinguisher easily accessible

 

Any participant suspected by the park or Midwest Motorsports LLC of being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE


Midwest Motorsports LLC has the right to remove any vehicle from competition if deemed unsafe by tech or the hosting park


NO WAIVERS WILL BE GIVEN




Additional PRO BOUNTY Specific Safety Rules

 

Full face helmet is mandatory (must be Snell or DOT approved)


Hans device or equivalent head and neck support


Head containment seat is highly recommended but IS NOT mandatory


Drivers helmet must be a minimum of a fist width from any part of the roll cage. If not a interior safety net will be required


3” 4 point harness in vehicles with OEM chassis and 3” 5 point in vehicles with custom build chassis


Emergency kill switch is required in all custom built vehicles and must be clearly marked (key switch is acceptable if located on the dash)


Full doors or fixed side protection (doors must have a secondary lockable mechanism) (side nets are not allowed)


All production vehicles must have an aftermarket cage (no OEM or modified OEM cages allowed)


No open drivetrain in driver’s compartment


Window net/s or arm restraints required (refer to BOUNTY SERIES specific rules section)


Single layer SFI-1 rated fire suit mandatory

9-13 JUNIOR, 900 and 1000/TURBO PRODUCTION Class Vehicle Specific Rules


Vehicle must be a production SXS model with a minimum of 50 units produced in the current 

fiscal year and retain the OEM frame (no lengthening of the frame allowed) (2 seat to 4 seat conversion permitted)

 

Wheelbase may be extended using a-arms and or rear trailing arms (mounts must be in the stock location)


Vehicle must retain partial OEM/OEM style plastic to distinguish specific make and model


Modified OEM style and aftermarket cages are allowed


Vehicle must retain the OEM type engine to the specific model


No forced induction or pressurized injection systems are allowed (OEM installed turbo systems are allowed)


Internal engine modifications are allowed and cannot be protested


Doors, fixed sides or side nets are mandatory


PRODUCTION class vehicles cannot run larger than a 32” tires


Tires must be intended solely for SXS/UTV/ATV use


Cut tires are allowed


NO tube type chassis or tube type chassis built off a production SXS frame can compete in the 900 or 1000/TURBO Classes


Polaris ACE (all models) are allowed to compete in 900 Production only


Tube chassis are permitted in the 9-13 Junior Class

Event


Each competitor is allowed one attempt at the hill or course


Each competitor has limited time to complete the hill or course


If a competitor does not complete his or her run then the furthest spot the vehicle reached will be recorded and his or her position will be place accordingly.


If a competitors vehicle breaks the barrier tape on either side of the hill a (15 second penalty for the first break) (30 second penalty for the second break) this time will be added to his or her time. If a driver breaks the tape a third time he or she will be disqualified.


If a competitors vehicle goes under the tape without breaking it and his or her vehicle CLEARLY leaves the racing lane he or she will be disqualified.

   

PRO BOUNTY Vehicle Specific Rules


All drivetrain must be SXS/UTV style (custom driveshafts and differential housings are allowed) (No straight axles or transfer cases allowed)


All drivetrain components inside the driver’s compartment must be covered (i.e. driveshaft tunnel or loops)


Any style powersports engine allowed (no limitations on forced induction or pressurized injection system)


PRO BOUNTY vehicles cannot run larger than a 32” tires


Tires must be intended solely for SXS/UTV/ATV use


Cut tires are allowed


OEM fuel tank or Fuel Cell mandatory (A rollover vent valve is mandatory on fuel cells)


Hand controlled throttle is allowed


No limitations on vehicle width, height or wheelbase


Window net/s are mandatory on drivers side of a multi seat vehicles and on both sides of a single seat vehicle if arm restraints aren't used. Window net/s must be securely fastened as intended by the manufacture. Zip or wire tied window nets are not permitted.


Arm restraints are mandatory if the driver is able to reach through the top of the cage while harnessed in. If the vehicle has a roof or safety net/s where the driver can not reach through the cage then arm restraints are not mandatory and a window net/s is acceptable.
